Corentin Darré, a visual artist in residence at Lindre-Basse, addresses themes such as hostility in human relationships, aggression, love and loneliness. He explores the mechanisms of exclusion, community hatred and the creation of marginality in rural areas. For this event, the artist will be in conversation with Anna C. Zielinska, senior lecturer in philosophy at the University of Lorraine. Part of her work focuses on discrimination related to gender identity and sexual orientation.
In Lindre-Basse, Corentin Darré will continue the research begun with Chagrin by developing a 3D animated film based on the short story Avant que les champs ne brûlent (Before the Fields Burn) written by the artist. Based on the visual universe of the installation and produced using motion capture techniques, this film will combine sculpture, narration and video game aesthetics, drawing on the codes of rural westerns, queer romances and the imagination of video games. On site, the artist will immerse herself in the landscape of Lindre-Basse in order to feed the project with in situ collections: textures, 3D scans, sound recordings.
