Animal K is a joint project of Marie-Suzanne de Loye (baroque viola de gamba) and Violaine Lochu (voice). The two musicians come from eclectic musical universes and join in an opened exploration of the repertoire of both Central Europe and Mediterranean basin Jewish musics. With rigor and freedom, they mix these powerful melodies with experimental, post-punks, noise, lyrical tones. The free improvisation is the keystone of this deep research which tends to give an insight into the intense contemporaneousness of yiddish and Judeo-Spanish songs.

This concert is part of the European Days of Jewish Culture program.
