DEAR SPECTATOR, YOU ARE IN A SPACE. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CASTEL COUCOU

MARION FLAMENT

From Wednesday 22 July to Monday 31 August 2020

A tool for highlighting the region’s dynamics in the area of contemporary art, the showcase at the Gue(ho)st House regularly welcomes projects from partner organisations (La Conserverie et Modulab à Metz, Le Vent des Forêts à Fresnes-au-Mont, le CIAV de Meisenthal, La Factorine à Nancy, le Musée de l’Image-Epinal etc).

By invitation from the CAC - la synagogue de Delme, Castel Coucou - espace d’art contemporain in Forbach is presenting  Marion Flament’s preparatory work from 22 July to 31 August 2020 in the showcase of the Gue(ho)st House in Delme, as a prelude to her 2021 exhibition project in Forbach.

At Castel Coucou in 2021, Marion Flament will present the project Dear Spectator, You Are in a Space, in connection with the future stained-glass window works being carried out at the Synagogue de Forbach. In this project, light will take centre stage through the symbolics of stained-glass work. The exhibition at the Gue(ho)st House will act as a teaser for the upcoming project.

Like the CAC - la synagogue de Delme, since 2015 Castel Coucou has been working within the walls of a former synagogue in Forbach. The association organises exhibitions and young artist residencies, while making sure to establish genuinely close relationships with artists and visitors. Castel Coucou strives to increase the population’s awareness of contemporary art in relation to everyday life (design, fashion, architecture…).

This exhibition is on display at the Gue(ho)st House in Delme from 22nd July to 31st August 2020.
